Week 2 • Rising Grades 3–5 • Morning Soccer with Afternoon Tennis
Morning Soccer with Afternoon Tennis (Rising Grades 3–5)
Location: Waynflete Fore River Campus (283 Osgood St.)
(Drop off after 8:45 a.m.)
Soccer players rising to grades 2–5 can join morning soccer camp to learn the game through fun drills, games, shooting exercises, and controlled/distanced field play to develop composure and strategy. Our goal is to help kids to develop a love for the game of soccer. Campers will work with experienced soccer coaches and top players from high school and college teams.
To extend the day, Coach Mary Gray will coach players in grades 4–6, beginners to advanced level, every afternoon. Campers will enjoy an energetic pace for games and drills to learn and improve forehands, backhands, volleys, overheads, and serving. Specialized games and match play will improve game strategy (for both singles and doubles), improve the player’s focus on each point, and encourage light-hearted competitive play. Waynflete’s health protocols will be incorporated into the camp program, on and off the court.
