K-1 Camp (Outdoor Nature-based Creative Camp for Active K-1s) OR “Summer Term” for Rising Grade 1 (NEW Academic Program)
Our traditional K-1 Camp day will run 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. – a full day of art, active play, hands-on exploration of nature, and fun with friends. K-1 campers will spend all day every day outdoors.
Mornings in K-1 will include art and science projects, singing, creative movement and free play. Afternoons will take campers to the Lower Field with Coach Michael Schwartz to move and play. Michael, experiential health educator, will lead our K-1 campers through active games and playful exercises that creatively channel each child’s physical exuberance and curiosity. Within an open format that allows for a range of experience, Michael will lead K-1s in play and fitness games – while maintaining safe distance from one another. Fun activities like parkour and relays enhance fundamental movement skills such as running, jumping, climbing, kicking, rolling, and crawling.
K-1 Camp is $350 per week.

“My granddaughter loved Waynflete Camp! We thought it would be a great experience for her, but it surpassed even those expectations. The activities were fun, interesting, and creative. My office is now adorned with all kinds of awesome treasures. And we loved the counselors. They were patient, plugged in, and happy, and they made the kids feel happy, comfortable, and energized. I can’t say enough about what a wonderful experience this has been.”

“Our daughter can be very shy and apprehensive about new experiences. The Waynflete staff provided her with a fun, educational, and safe space. She looks forward to attending multiple weeks every summer.”
