Waynflete’s professional coaches provide a foundation in sports skills, techniques, and strategies of the game while also bringing the summer camp fun! Campers explore the rules and techniques of team sports and skill-building through friendly competitions and challenges.

Basketball Camp

Lacrosse Camp

Waynflete and Maine Lightning coaches Will Burdick and George Sherry will lead soccer players rising to grades 2–5 in this morning camp (9:00 a.m.–noon) to learn the game through fun drills, games, shooting exercises, and controlled/distanced field play. Our goal is to help kids to develop a love for the game of soccer. Campers will work with experienced soccer coaches and top players from high school and college teams.

This is a four-day flex camp! Four-day flex camps normally run Monday–Thursday. In the case of a severe inclement weather day on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday, that day’s camp may be cancelled and a Friday camp would be added. Soccer Camp

Waynflete and Maine Lightning coaches George Sherry and Will Burdick return to lead Waynflete’s annual soccer camp for players rising to grades 5–9 who are looking for a more intensive full-day, skill-building, soccer experience. The coaches will be joined by a team of top high school and college soccer players who will engage campers through level-appropriate drills and fun games to improve ball handling, passing accuracy, and shooting. Each activity is designed to improve body control, quickness, and composure on the field. Campers will come away from this experience with greater spatial awareness, technical ability, tactical knowledge, but most importantly, a love for the game. No camp on July 4.

Head Coach Mary Gray is a certified PTR Tennis Teaching Professional who has taught and coached in the Greater Portland area for the past 32 years and represented Maine in the National Senior Games for players 50 and older. Mary also teaches tennis in the Waynflete Upper School program and Enrichment tennis workshops.

This is a four-day flex camp! Four-day flex camps normally run Monday–Thursday.
