Mini Flyers Camps
Early Childhood (Ages 4–5)
Mini Flyers Camp is tailored to meet the unique needs of pre-Kindergarten children who are four and five years old. This camp offers a mix of structured activities and free play, indoors and out, with rest time each afternoon. Campers explore different themes through storytelling, creative movement, art, and music. Mini Flyers Camp will run in two-week sessions for 2026, and will include one field trip each week. Campers must be four years old and bathroom-independent by the first day of their camp session to attend. Five-year-old campers should choose to register for Mini Flyers if they haven’t experienced a full day in a school setting yet and would benefit from a pre-K camp structure (including a daily rest time). Waynflete reserves the right to move any five-year-olds into Flyers Camp if they need different age-appropriate activities.

Mini Flyers: Makers and Artists
June 22–July 2, 2026

Mini Flyers will put their creative hats on and explore a variety of artistic projects and tools like: scrape painting, collages, puppet making and more! Campers will explore the Children’s Museum Maker’s Space and take a tour to spot the street art murals in Portland. No camp on July 3.
Mini Flyers: Pirates
July 6–17, 2026

Ahoy! Join Mini Flyers as they embark on pirate themed scavenger hunts, transform the playground boat into a sea-worthy pirate ship, learn about life on the sea, make treasure out of salt dough, and have a pirate-costume wearing picnic at Fort Preble near Bug Light!

Giddy-up and join Mini Flyers for this old western themed week at camp. Our “cow-kids” will try their hands with lassos, tie-dye bandanas, pan for gold, play cattle round-up games and learn all about horses! This week wouldn’t be complete without a trip to a nearby farm. Grab your cow-kid hat and giddy-up!
