Flyers Camps
K–1 Camp
Based in Waynflete’s beautiful K–1 classroom and amazing outdoor spaces, rising kindergarten and grade 1 campers will jump right into summer fun with themed sessions that include arts and building activities, storytelling, music, group games, and plenty of free play! Each week we’ll venture out on field trips via bus or our own two feet to art museums, parks, beaches, and more!
Flyers: Wonderful Wildlife

Discover Maine’s amazing wildlife in this critter themed week! Flyers will learn about local habitats and the animals that live there through hands-on activities, outdoor time and a field trip to Maine Wildlife Park.
Flyers: Sustainability Superheroes
June 30–July 3, 2025

How do we care for our environment? How can I be a sustainability superhero in my community? Flyers will answer these questions and imagine greener futures during this action packed week, including a field trip to a nearby Land Trust trail. No camp on July 4.

July 7–11, 2025

Find flowers with Miss Rumphius and slurp down berries with Sal. Storybooks set in Maine are the focus of this week. Flyers will celebrate these literary works through crafts, songs, and adventures; including a trip to pick berries and a mission to plant wildflower seeds!

From lobsters living at the bottom of the sea to cuddly seals relaxing on rocks, Flyers will explore the mysteries of Maine’s ocean waters and the lighthouses along Maine’s coast. Campers will take a trip to Willard Beach to poke in tidepools, make sandcastles, and play in the soft sand.

Inch by inch, row by row, Flyers will learn how gardens grow! Flyers will plant and care for their own seeds, visit a local farm, and make delicious snacks from the farm’s fresh ingredients. Let’s grab our shovels and head outside!

Fairies, unicorns, and dragons—oh my! In this mystical week, Flyers will create their own enchanted worlds through art projects, storytelling and imaginative play. This week will include a field trip to Mackworth Island State Park to build dragon lairs, gnome homes, and fairy houses.
Is tutoring available for my child during the camp day?
Tutors from Waynflete’s Academic Support program are available to support campers in the following academic areas: reading, spelling, writing, math, and executive functioning. Tutors will coordinate with camp leadership to create a schedule that will work for the camper and their camp program. Summer tutoring is offered at $65/session, availability is limited.
