Welcome to Summer at Waynflete!
We offer engaging summer adventures for children living in or visiting Southern Maine. Our aim is to encourage playful exploration in an environment that reflects the resources of the Waynflete community and the expertise of a knowledgeable and attentive team. As a division of Waynflete, the Summer at Waynflete philosophy and approach are grounded in the school’s core beliefs and mission statement.
What makes Summer at Waynflete different from other camps?
- Our programs offer small group sizes and low camper to staff ratios.
- We only hire the best! Our team comprises Waynflete faculty and teachers from the greater Portland area, experienced college students, and enthusiastic Waynflete Upper School students.
- We operate our camp at our two beautiful Waynflete campus locations—the Fore River Campus for sports and nature camps and the Spring Street Campus for all other sessions.

The basics
- Weekly and multi-week sessions
- Unique day programs for campers ages 4–15 years
- Two locations: Waynflete’s main campus in Portland’s West End and Waynflete’s outdoor sports complex and nature classroom at the Fore River Fields (view maps).
- Camp hours: 9:00 a.m.—3:00 p.m.
- Morning drop-off: 8:30–9:00 a.m.
- Half day pick-up: Noon–12:30 p.m.
- Afternoon pick-up: 3:00–3:30 p.m.
